Will you ever return?

Raine knew, he knew well before now what this kind of reaction from himself would do to Quinn. He had tried to not let it all out, but in light of everything that happened so far? He couldn't not. He tried. He tried so hard to keep it down, but it was coming off of him in such strong waves and everything Quinn was doing it was making it so much worse. He wanted to hide from it all, because there was too much going on already in his sad broken mind. Why did Quinn have to do this to him? Why didn't Quinn know and see what he was feeling right now? It wasn't fair that Raine was here right now, backed into this corner when everything was so sensitive. It hurt.

It hurt so much knowing that Quinn didn't care, that Quinn was doing this to him now. He didn't see the way Quinn tried to hold back, all he saw was the way Quinn was looking at him. All he felt was the way Quinn pressed against him keeping him trapped here, and it had him trembling so much that the only thing really keeping him up right now was Quinn's weight. Quinn was speaking and Raine realized immediately what Quinn meant by that. He promised, he made a promise the first time Quinn had been this threatening over these things. He remembered that vividly without Quinn saying anything more, because he realized what he had just said now. How was that fair, either though?

Raine's heart was dropping down to the nasty growing put of his stomach, the one that threatened to make him throw up right here from the fear building its home inside of him. He didn't notice when Sirius walked out, he didn't see anything aside from that look in Quinn's eyes which had him beginning to squirm, trying to shift away from Quinn's weight. "I-I'm sorry!" Raine's words came out when Quinn called him a liar. He was sorry, but he still wasn't ready for anything right now. He was hurting too much for this right now...

It wasn't until Sirius spoke up that his wild frightened eyes landed on the other male, and he felt more panic surge into him. Was Sirius there to help him, and if so what was with that look? All Raine wanted right then was to be away from them, he didn't even care if that meant still stabbed into a wall. The fact of that feeling dug so deep under his skin because he had been wanting nothing but for either of these two men to comfort him, but they never did. They were pretending, this whole time. The demon had warned him, had tried it's best to make sure he knew the truth and all Raine did with it was throw it away and try to ignore it. Raine tried to ignore the truth he had known until now where it was undeniable. Quinn had said it, he didn't care. Quinn was doing this now, taking advantage of him and throwing old promises from a human life at him. Did those even count anymore?

my heart is starting to separate;
Quinn wasn't good at dealing with what was fair and what wasn't, and even that was probably an understatement. There were areas in which he had been trying to be more fair, and some of that working towards it all was paying off in little ways. But he had a long way to go still, and fair wasn't going to win anything in this situation right now. Quinn was far too riled to think rationally -- not that it ever had been a strong point for him to begin with -- and this had not been the way he had thought things would go. He had merely meant to get Raine to talk. Now they were here and Quinn was starting to want more. He was trying to hold himself back, wanted to focus on the conversation instead of the lust, but—

Raine was begging him to stop and it only made Quinn want it more. Or it did before things clicked in his mind and sent him on a path that was much more angry, pulling him more into a desire to cause pain and taste blood. He didn't want to hear that Raine was sorry right now, because there were so many things that the young vampire could have said instead, and hadn't. The way Raine was squirming and trying to get away, the friction of that movement against Quinn had him groaning. Raine was really not helping matters. Heat flushed through him again, spreading through his body. It wasn't just aggression and lust now, but very real anger and that desire to lash out because of it. It wasn't good.

The scent of blood caught his attention, and he was so immersed in the situation that his gaze flicked over Raine, expecting to find a bleeding point and finding none. He could fix that, though. Quinn let his nails sharpen to cat-like points and swiped them for Raine's cheek, wanting to lick the blood from those nails. Yet it was with the sound of Sirius' voice saying his name in that tone that had Quinn's attention a second later. He licked his lips, letting his nails shift back to normal as he took in that predatory look from the older vampire. There was that second where Quinn was torn between wanting to go to Sirius and not wanting to give Raine time to flee, but in the end he decided he could chase if he needed to.

Quinn pushed away from the wall, away from Raine and made his way over to Sirius, curling an arm around the older vampire's neck and leaning in, inhaling Sirius' scent. He turned to look back at Raine for a moment, then shifted his gaze back to Sirius. "What did you have in mind?" He asked, noticing the scent from Sirius said a fair amount of things, as had the way that the older vampire had spoken his name. And Quinn wanted to know what all those things were, what it meant right now. And yes, he knew that there were troubles between them in the bedroom where Quinn was concerned, but Quinn was trying to figure it out. It wasn't as if he was certain he even could perform with Raine, either, but he hadn't gotten far enough to find out.

It will come back.

You've gotten in to my bloodstream.

There were so many things rolling around in his mind these days, but it was a game of avoidance that he played now harder than he ever had before. A part of him was almost afraid of that numb place he had fallen in to with Raine, one where no matter what he felt on the subject, he did only what made the most sense. Even when he had come back and seen Tarquin there on the bed, he didn't have any real hesitation with what he knew he would have to do. The sensation seemed to come in and out in lesser amounts after that, but he never shook the feeling it seemed to have a mind of it's own.

Maybe that was his new self defense mechanism now, after whatever had happened to him. Compulsive but rationalized action in a tough situation. That would have been fine if they were situations that didn't have emotional weight to them, but there were many things he knew he had to do that his heart told him not to. Things he didn't regret deciding against doing, in the end. One important instance being that if he didn't want to pass his disease on and had nothing left to live for, he might as well not live. All that he had with Tarquin was the result of not following that train of thought.

Right now, it was neither of those things taking a lead here. It was his body and instinct that drove him, raw urges and responses that he didn't attempt much control over right now. If he was ever going to learn what his limits were now, with everything on the table, he would have to test them first. Sirius wasn't willing to make such a leap of experimentation as to involve Raine, but Tarquin was more than fair game in these kinds of things. The man wouldn't judge him or hold it against him, what they did together. He was confident in that, maybe more than the majority of things in his life.

He never looked twice at the other vampire, even when the scent of his blood from the scratch kicked that excitement up an extra notch. His dark stare was only for the sidhe that finally moved towards him, abandoning the younger male against the wall. Well, that seemed to be one goal somewhat accomplished. For now. He didn't realize how tense he had gotten until the man came close, wrapping an arm around his neck. It gave him pause, shaking a bit of that taunt predatory expectation under his skin long enough for him to cast a look at Raine.

If there was any time to make an escape, it was now, feeling the other's warm breath against his skin as he took in his scent. Then his gaze slipped to Tarquin again, stepping in against his body for a moment, bringing them a little bit closer as his head dipped in against the curve of his neck. Sirius wanted him to feel that eagerness under his skin, the potential behind it. Intent. His nose brushed against the other's skin as he spoke, low and with a heavy edge to it. "Something with more fight." Those words were full of potential, of an offer for something that seemed right in that moment.

He wanted it to think it could escape, that it could fight back by existing just a few moments longer. "I want to roll their fear on my tongue, Tarquin. I want to cover myself in it." The way he said fear suggested he meant so much more, but it was hard to describe exactly. He wanted to bathe in their realization that their fate was inevitable, to taste their suffering. Those realizations seemed so sudden, so strange, but also correct. Acceptable. Urges like eating an entire tub of ice cream from the freezer. He shouldn't, but he was going to. His eyes stared straight in to the other man's, and the mixture of emotions and absence of light made them look almost black. "We won't get enough from him."

the devil takes his time

my heart is starting to separate;
It was too late for Quinn, too late for him to care, to hold back. The damage had already been done, and Quinn had suffered and seethed for as long as he could hold out for, and then something within him had snapped. At least when it came to the things that he had done when he was away from the manor recently. Quinn had needed a way to deal with all the messed up things inside his head while unable to go through with things with Sirius. And he simply knew he did not want anything new and long standing for himself. He wanted quick and easy and discard-able. Raine had opened that door for Quinn, and once he'd gone through it the first time, it did not matter if he went through it again or not. Nothing could gain him back what he has lost when he had done it, and he lost nothing else in doing it again.

It had been that one thread he had been holding onto for so long, that twisted little desire he had been repressing. At first it had made him feel sick to have given in after the things Raine had said, but feeling sick over it, over what he should have felt pleased over— it didn't change anything. It did not negate the fact that it had been done and he couldn't take it back. Instead, it just gave him a reason to keep doing it. Because he'd already crossed that line. And because he wanted to do it again and he was already stained with having done it before, so what did it even matter if he did? It would change nothing. It had changed nothing. Not for him. He had gone through with it and he had found that he enjoyed it as much as he had always thought he might.

Yet it was the things that Sirius had told him that really pushed Quinn over the edge. Nothing could have prepared him for hearing it all from Sirius, and it had thrilled him all the way down in his bones. It might not have been exactly the same thing, but it was a very good start, a step in the right direction. Quinn hadn't pushed for it, though. The idea of Sirius' pleasure over a massacre had Quinn wanting to go with Sirius and see it all firsthand; to join in alongside his mate and play in the bloodbath. Sirius had agreed to bring him along for the next time, and Quinn had been waiting for it and hoping that the day would come closer where the vampire would want to do it again. Quinn did not want Sirius to go through painful things to get there again, so Quinn had complicated feelings over the matter.

Quinn had felt how tense Sirius had been as he'd touched the older vampire, the way that feeling melted away for a moment to something more relaxed before the feeling was detected to have returned. Sirius was stepping closer to him, in against Quinn's body, and there was a shiver that ran through him at the way Sirius' skin felt under the fingertips Quinn had dragging across the vampire's shoulder. Quinn could feel the eagerness there, and that feeling as if something was being held back; something that had Quinn's body thrumming with approval and interest in return. The brush of Sirius' nose at his skin felt as if it were touching at raw nerves, and it felt so damn good. Then Sirius was speaking and everything just did a stop-lurch in his mind.

And his hips lurched forward against Sirius, excitement crackling through his body like electricity, and Quinn's mind connected the dots with no hesitation. He was breathless in those seconds, listening as Sirius continued to speak, and those words had Quinn perking up more, and everything else he'd been feeling went right out the window. Desire flooded him completely, and his scent had turned to all lust and excitement, the look in his eyes as he gazed at Sirius was something close to worship at the moment. "Yes. Please," and Quinn wanted to see Sirius covered in their blood, too. Quinn blinked at the last words, aiming a curt glance at Raine before smiling impishly at Sirius. "Let's go, then. I'll follow you anywhere." He responded with a purr.
